Hason's Hospital Visit

I had gotten sick a couple weeks ago. Had a high fever, body aches, chills, sweats. I though for sure I had mastitis again.  Now I don't think that was it.  I felt better after just a day but still had a fever for a couple of days after.  I guess whatever it was I had I passed on to Hason.  I took his temp (rectal of course cause I don't trust the thermometer any other way) on a Thursday afternoon and it was 99.  When Landon got home I took it again and it was 101 yikes! In babies under 3 months of age you are told to panic if it's at 100.4.  We called his Dr. but since it was after hrs they had us go to the Urgent Care Center.  Awesome thing about our town is they have an Urgent Care that's just for kids.  It was the cutest place and we were the only ones there!

You could tell he was sick but he wasn't acting too bad.

They had TVs in all the rooms!

They took his temp again and then monitored his breathing. He was breathing 75 times a minute when at his age should only be taking 35 breaths a minute.  They were pretty concerned about pneumonia so they sent us to the Emergency Room at the hospital. This emergency room was right across from the hospital and not actually attached to it.

We actually ran home first so I could get Hase some socks cause I knew they'd want him stripped down and it would be cold in there.  Conveniently the hospital is only 2 minutes from our house.

They wanted to run some tests, take x rays of his lungs and monitor his breathing some more.  Landon and I weren't to worried. Since this was our second kid we were more calm but you can never be to safe when they are this little and something bad could spark so quickly.

Bless his little heart, I hated to see him pricked so much.  I had to leave the room.  I went the waiting room while they did their tests.  The waiting room also had a tv, water bottles and a machine that made 8 different kinds of coffees....cappuccinos, hot chocolates and so on....all free! The security guard on duty was so sweet and you could tell he was trying to get my mind off of things.

In good spirits considering.

He was so sleepy by the end of it all.

They had us do a breathing treatment....we are all to familiar with those.

The next day our Pedi wanted to see us for a follow up.
He still had a bit of a fever but was breathing way better.
I honestly think he was breathing fast because of the fever. When I have fevers I do that.  Of course we don't' want anything to be wrong with him but good gosh I am not looking forward to the Dr bills from all of this! What a waste of money, that definitely stresses me out.
Thank the good Lord there wasn't anything wrong with our little man though.

Sister kept herself busy reading books while they checked Hason out.

She found this phone in the toy box at the Dr. office and asked "what is this" lol are we that old already that our kids don't know what a flip phone is?

A few days later we got this in the mail.........

Are you kidding me! I couldn't believe it. Who does this anymore.  The children's Urgent care sent us a card signed by the staff and the Dr we saw, a sticker for Hason and they even remembered that we said we had a daughter at home too. Wow, we were impressed.

Hason's First Softball Game

Hello little blog...I have not forgotten you...I have many updates to come : )

Softball season has started up again and Hason go to attend his first one to watch his dad.

I have a feeling we won't make to many games this year but I'm sure Hase will love it next year!

This sweet dreamy face while he nurses....Sometimes when he latches on and gets that first suck his little eyes will move back and forth really fast as if to show that it's the best thing he's ever had lol!

I must say, I have had way more fun shopping for clothes for Hase than I have Brielle. Weird I know but I like fining little outfits to put together for him.

I post all happy pictures of him but don't be fooled....this is him most the time........

Neely was missing Landon a lot this day...she found his shorts on the chaise and it's the only thing that made her feel better haha.

Brielle ready for Preschool

Hason's tongue smile.......

It was Brielle's assistant room teachers Birthday this week so we put a gift basket together complete with a giant cupcake and apple spice candle.

So that the kids will stay quiet in the hallways they have them hold their "bubble" like this she says...........

When they are lined up the are told to put their hands behind their back like a duck tail.
At lunch time they always sing a prayer of thanks, Brielle taught it to me.
It's to the tune of "where is thumbkin"
God our father, God our father,
Once again, Once again,
Thank you for our blessings, Thank you for our blessings,
Amen, Amen.
I died laughing when she sang it to us because they say the Amen differently than we do when we say our prayers at night.  She thinks they are saying Awe Man lol and that's exactly how she sings it!

Beth Moore Similcast

Emily invited me to a Beth Moore Simulcast at her church this past Sunday.  I'm not one to pass up Beth Moore.   The lesson was called "No Longer"

I really like Beth Moore, she's one of the best Christian speakers ever! (and she has cute clothes) But I've never been a big fan of the "way" she preaches or better yet, her tone.  She's just a little loud for me, I don't like the yelling preacher types.

After this simulcast I have changed my mind, I'm absolutely in love with her.  I see why she preaches the way she does and why she literally can't lower her voice....she's just really and truly that in love and excited about Jesus! She gets so excited and revved up she can't help  herself and I love that!  What it must feel like to feel that way all the time! She's so witty and crazy and sweet all at the same time.  I can't wait to hear her speak again.  If you haven't heard her "hairbrush" story go over to youtube now and watch it...Just put in "Beth Moore hairbrush."  You will laugh and cry.  It's one of my favorite stories ever!

I always love spending time with Emily, her sister in law Kristie came as well.  I've been able to get to know her and she is very sweet and fun to be around.  Great people in that family.

I enjoyed the lesson and it was totally something I needed. I had just got done telling Landon on the car ride there some of this stuff that I was struggling with that went along with the lesson, funny thing is nobody knew what she was going to teach until it started.
She spoke about Grace and what it truly meant.  Not about giving grace to others but to ourselves and accepting it full heartedly and having freedom by living that way. I needed that. I'm very hard on myself.  I need to realize that no matter what I do, my God will never be disappointed in me, nothing can take away my salvation and I am going to heaven to meet him someday! Wahoo!

I was sure happy to see this guy after being gone all day. We put sister to bed early cause she had a long day.   Hason and I sat outside and took pictures while dad cleaned our finally fixed pool.

I combed his hair for the first time haha, he looks so handsome!

Lazy Saturday

Hason's vision has gotten better (you know how babies can't really see or follow things in the early months) He will now watch Brielle when she's talking or plays...I know this will be a huge help in keeping him entertained in the future.

And he just loves her.....

A couple Saturdays ago we were having the cousins over to swim, Brielle helped me make some dessert.  (I made sure she washed her hands really good and kept them away from her face, kids can be so dirty)

You can hardly see Chloe under her pile of stuffed animals. Brielle was never a big fan of them but apparently Chloe adores them. She brought down every mickey and Minnie she could find. Apparently she had Disney in her blood just like her brother and mom and dad ;)

To our sadness our pool quite working Friday night. Landon got up early on Saturday to fix it because we were pretty sure we knew what the problem was. What he fixed needed fixing but it didn't get the pool going again...apparently the pump went out, one of the more expensive parts...Fabulous!!!  So we spent our Saturday just lounging around watching football and the kids play.

Summersault.....

I was glad Brielle got to play her little heart out that day!  I wish she had more days like this with little playmates.

We wanted to size up Hason and Chloe...he is so huge and she is so petite we were sure they'd almost be the same size even though they are one year apart.

After everyone left I kicked my feet up on my comfy foot rest and continued relaxing.
Neely totally let me lay this way forever. Such a good girl.
