Goodbye Summer, Hurray Fall!

Summer is usually my favorite season but I just didn't enjoy it as much this year, I felt hotter this year than last when I was pregnant haha! I am ready for the cooler weather, fall decorations, and holiday coffees and pie!! Here are some pics from this summer that I never got posted........

Landon and I took a mini vacation to Austin this summer, We missed our baby but had soooo much fun together

we went to the melting pot and it was so cute and fun! We were stuffed when we left!

We went parasailing for the first time! I was sooo scared until they dipped us in the water and I was able to see how slow we actually would float down if the rope were to snap! It was unusually peaceful and quiet being up there that high.





I am sad the pool is closed and wanted to go one more time before that happened but missed out, here is the last time we went this summer...




I'm gonna miss all those cute swimsuits B wore, I guess I'll just have to start looking for next years outfits haha!



My baby sister got married this summer!!!!!!WOOOHOO but first and foremost we had to have a bachelorette party!!

Last here are some beautiful pics my friend took of Brielle when she was 9 months old, love that little girl more than life itself!

9 month old

Brielle you are 9 months old, what are you up to........

*you are in the 50th percentile for weight, you weigh 18 lbs
*you are in the 75th percentile for height and so is your head ha!
*you are in size 3 diapers
*you have started clapping (I took you to a play and learn class at the library and you had so much fun you just had to clap your hands)
*you still sleep all night and are taking a morning and afternoon nap
*you've started giving high fives
*you love, love, love to have us read to you, you have learned some motions from your books like "arms up" and "mouth"(when you see that picture in the book you open your mouth really wide, it's soooo cute)you will sit so still and listen
through the whole book and your flashcards.
*When we start to get on to you and pull you away from something you shouldn't be doing you've started to smile, laugh and squirm, (when before you would actually turn around and look at us with a serious face and stop what your doing) how can we discipline you when you are being so cute!
*There is nothing you won't eat
*When you get upset sometimes the only person you want is momma, and I love that!
*you love your honey pot shapes toy and know that the shapes are supposed to fit in the holes but we have to turn the pot for you so that you feel like you put them in there yourself
*we bought you a new toy that has balls in it and when you push the handle down it releases the balls and they come rolling down, after showing you how to do it a couple of times, you learned and do it on your own all the time now, you laugh, bounce up and down, and look up at us everytime you make a ball come down(can you tell mom and dad think your sooo smart already haha)
*you can wave bye bye and say bye bye although you usually choose not to when we ask you to
*You have 1 and 1/2 teeth now!!! (you had no problems getting these teeth in thank goodness, hopefully the others will come without sleepless nights and fevers as well!) when I'm trying to keep your arms away from something, you try to bite sometimes and when you are bored you will come crawling up to us and try to bite our legs or arms, not out of meaness, it's just something fun and new to do and I'm sure it feels kinda good too

4th of July Weekend

We spent 4th of July at Landon's grandmothers house for most of the day. She made homemade ice cream, which is the best and I couldn't resist having 3 bowls of it! It was sooo nice to spend time with that side of the family. Brielle had a blast being passed around by grandparents and great grandparents.

Then we headed over to Landon's friend Tanner's house and spent time with some of our friends.

8 months old and 4 year anniversary

Brielle you are 8 months old...what are you up to......


*we have moved you up to size 3 diapers...they are a little big but the 2's are way too small, your an in betweeny right now.
*you have started to bounce up and down when you hear music
*you love to be read to and love books, you never try to grab for the book when we are reading to you which is crazy cause you want everything and anything else you can get your hands on.
*still no teeth
*you are holding on to mommy and daddy's shoulders when we hold you now instead of just letting your arms fly around all crazy.
*you have learned how to get into a sitting position from laying down...sometimes you even fall asleep sitting up b/c you can't figure out how to get back to a laying position haha but not all the time
*you are holding your own bottle pretty well now, you even lift it up when its almost all gone to get more out of it
*you move all over the place, your not completely crawling yet, you will push off with your toes. you take a step with one hand, then your knee, then your other hand but give up when it comes to moving that other knee.
*you started feeding yourself puffs and you love it and so do I!
*you are wearing 6 to 9 month clothes and even some 12 month clothes too!




My last time nursing you, you were ready to be done with it at 4 months but I couldn't let you stop that soon!!! Nursing was one of the hardest things I've ever done and I hated it at first. Then I grew to love it and I'm going to miss it so much! I'm very happy and proud that I was determined and able to do it this long! It's a blessing that's for sure and I know we will both benefit from it greatly!





Last week was our 4 year wedding anniversary (June 23rd to be exact). I can't believe it's already been 4 years! I love being married, I never really dated that much and was totally ready to find my husband when I was 16...well I found him at 17 so that's pretty good! I think God brought him to me so early because he knew I would freak out if I didn't know who I was marrying by the time I turned 20!! ;) Landon is the greatest man I know, he is my rock and the love of my life!

We went to the water park to celebrate since we both love the water and love being outside. It was sooo much fun but I totally wiped out on several of the rides more than once. I guess I get so scared that I tense up so much and end up hurting myself anyway haha!



This was one of the signs at the water park, I think they are really really paranoid about getting sued because there were ridiculous common sense signs everywhere!


We went to Macaroni Joes afterwards and it was soooo good. One of my favorites! I had the green chili chicken farfalle yuuuuuuuum!
