Visiting Mom

We headed to Dallas Friday for the weekend to visit my mom and attend a friends wedding as well.
Beautiful storm clouds on the way.

We stopped at DQ half way and got ourselves a treat.

 

And he said my picture looked creepy!HA!

 

She could not believe her eyes when she saw her Lita, Sheer Delight!

Late Easter Present

Saturday we got up and played in Lita's fountain.

 

 

 

We did some shopping of course and then headed to South Lake Square....SOOO pretty there.  It was like an outdoors mall but with lots of restaurants with patios (my fav)

They even brought B some pizza dough to keep her busy

She enjoyed!

 

You could see the fountain from where we were sitting.  Brielle headed towards the gate, opened it, looked at us and said "I'll be back in a minute" haha!!! Who does this child think she is a 15 year old who can take care of herself.....silly independent girl!

That evening we took a stroll through the most beautiful walking trail behind my moms house!

 

 

 

It was a perfect night and I enjoyed some humidity, my skin has been sooo darn dry lately!

Easter at Nonna's

Normally we have 3 to 4 Easters every year, this year was more low key and we only celebrated twice. Easter number 2 took place at my mother in laws.

She has this little entry way table that she loves to decorate for every holiday.  I love it!

After lunch it was egg hunting time, oh lunch was so good! 
I love eating over there, the ham was so tasty and juicy!

 

 

 

 

Did I mention I got my dress second hand for $16. 
It's originally from Express so you know it used to be $60!!!

And I got these awesome wedges at goodwill for $6!!! The top was already orange but not orange enough so I bought fabric paint and made them super bright, I accidently got it on the wedge so I went with it and painted the whole thing orange!

When we finally got to see her Gigi she had goodies waiting there too!

 

Oh all this candy, she ate candy two days straight, that means I had a panic attack two days straight...I just kept telling myself it was ok and she's only gonna do this twice a year, Halloween and Easter.  I felt bad not letting her eat any when all the other kids did. 
Well I'm glad to say she didn't get sick from all of it but I am pumping her full of fresh veggie soup this week and fruit to make up for the candy!

 

Easter 2012

Easter lunch was spent at my Aunt Yasmin's house.  It was a beautiful day out!

My cousin Sasha enjoys making creative things like me, she made these cute little rice crispy nests.
I almost made those as well ha!

Brielle thinks she knows what Easter is all about!  She was ready too look for eggs all day, she's go the egg hunting thing down!
Someday she'll understand the greater meaning of this day!

I got my dress at Plato's closet for $16 and my wedges (that have rhinestones all over the sole) at Goodwill for $6!!! Pretty proud of myself!

I've been thinking all day about Jesus death and what he did for us on the cross.
I'm overwhelmed with thankfulness.
