Hason's 2nd Birthday Party

My baby has turned two.  Say it isn't so.  It's been two of the best years of my life.  He is such a joy and a mess and a clown and completes our family just perfectly.  We needed him :)  If you know me you know I don't like character theme parties.  Well the longer I'm a mom I realize even if I don't like them they light up my kiddos hearts so how can I not throw a party about something they love so much.  Hason adores the sesame street characters, especially Elmo.  But he doesn't call them by name.  He calls the "La La" from the little youtube video "la la la la, la la la la, Elmo's song"  Have you seen it?  Super cute.  Both my kids loved that video. So a Sesame Street party it was!

Brielle helped me decorate the milk jugs, she did the dipping into the sprinkles of course.

Kayite's always got a clever recipe up her sleeve.  This was fresh cut watermelon with mint and feta and a little lemon I believe.  So tasty!  Her and Juquita my mother in law helped me so much with the party. I could not have done it without them!  Hashtag-thankful :)

My beautiful one is getting so big now.   

I think I enjoyed him opening his toys more than he did, ok not exactly but for real though... I love boy toys.  Probably cause I've always grown up with and been around girl toys.  That's old news to me.  I want to see new and exciting things haha.

We kept the party small.  Just family.  I have many years ahead where there will be a house full of friends so I thought I'd take advantage of this while I can.

He kept saying "hot, hot" 

Then of course I got a little teary eyed.  How did we get here?
