Destin Day 2

Today was shopping day and beach day!

Mermaid dress for the beach of course.

Us 4 only lasted an hour shopping.  It was just way too pretty to be indoors and when you live in Dallas with good shopping anyways it's not as much of a priority when you go outta town.

I made friends with a deaf kid on the beach and we found a little crap together :)

This was fancy dinner night.  The first found this great little place with a patio and a beach view.  It was perfect until it started to rain and we had to run in.  Good thing we had already finished up dinner.

Then it was back to the house for the lingerie shower and this cute video of Zac answering personal questions about Kaytie. 

A lot of the girls went out that night but I stayed in.  My stomach hurt so bad.  I had been eating very clean for months and months and the junk we had been eating and drinking really did a number on me the rest of the trip.  Regardless I still enjoyed ever minute!

Destin Florida!!!

My sister in law Kaytie decided to have her bachelorette party in Destin Florida.  How amazing is that!!! Florida is my happy place and I've never been to Destin so I was giddy as all get!  Plus one of my most favorite people in the whole wide world was also invited!  Emily and I got the 6am flight so we could have a whole day  once we arrived.

I need this to calm my nerves.  I hate flying, even more now that we have kids.  

This was our 3 story beach house nestled just a short walk to the beach with it's own private pool.

I was like a little kid at Christmas on the drive in.  Florida, water and warm weather fill me with a glee!

First thing we did was hit up the beach.

The water was completely clear and the most beautiful colors.  There were pretty little white fish swimming around here and there.

And then the party arrived!  They wanted to start off slow with the drinkin...

The crew!  I had never met some of these ladies before but they were absolutely amazing and such great friends to each other.  It was sweet watching how well they took care of Kaytie and how much they loved each other.  Since Kaytie is my sister you know, it gives me a lot of peace knowing she's surrounded by such supportive good women.

Emily and I took the bunk bed room so there would be more room for activities! :P

This guy... never a dull moment.

I get a little overly excited about outfits for vacations.  Half the fun is what you wear.  So I tried to find fun beachy things to wear while I was there.

Fireworks at dinner, so perfect!  Wished my honey was there with me.

No no, that's so not how it's done.

First Day Of Kindergarten!!!

What! This blog still exists?  I know I know... let me take you back to August 2015 where I left off ;)

I cannot believe this day is here.  She's always seemed so big and grown up to us because well...she is...grown up and mature for her age that is.  But she's still so little and only been on this earth for a little over 5 1/2 years.  The fact that she was extremely excited and not nervous at all made it a tab bit easier on this momma's heart to leave her this day.

2028 will be here before we know it. Don't blink.

Of course dad made it a priority to be there that day.

Yes I cried when I left her.  I cried the whole first week and the whole second week.  They allowed us to walk them to class the first two weeks.  By day two she wanted to go in by herself so I let her.  That hurt my heart so from day three through week two I walked her in everyday :)  She still looks so tiny to me walking in next to all the other kids.   I missed her dearly during the day.  Gone are the days of mommy and me classes, pajama days and morning play dates.  What I wouldn't give to go back.

The drop off line the first two weeks was a S*@% show! 

Waiting anxiously to pick up my girl. 

Oh I was ecstatic to see her!  We celebrated the first day with frozen yogurt ...

along with the rest of Flower Mound ha!

He thinks she's just great.  I do too!

She absolutely loves school, she is doing incredibly well and reading at a 1st/2nd grade level.   At our first parent teacher conference I was told she is such a joy, a helper and great friend to her classmates.  She was even chosen (two kids from every class got picked) to be a part of a "friendship" group.  She would be helping troubled kids make better decisions and showing them what it means to be a friend. When I was leaving her teacher said "She's perfect" then kinda corrected herself and said "well nobody's perfect but you know what I mean"  Lol, I don't think you're supposed to tell a parent that but it had me beaming.   We couldn't agree more.  She's so easy and just a joy to be around, she makes us incredibly proud.  Having Brielle is like having another adult in the house ha.
