End of summer fun

Landon was gone the end of last week so it was just us girls

We ran a lot of errands, B has figured out that if she turns the knobs on these things that sometimes stuff comes out (she has gotten lucky a couple times without putting any money in ha) My mom always likes to tell the story of the first time I put money in one of these when I was little and how she thought it was soooo adorable, until the next time when she didn't have any money and I threw myself on the ground and threw the biggest fit ever! ME, throw a fit....NEVER : )

Excited about her present from dollar tree

This is one of her favorite things now (it's my favorite when all of us including stuffed animal and Landon hold hands and to it!)

Ring around the rosie....

Pocket full of posies.....

Ashes Ashes.....

We all fall down!

No that is not the moon, last week we were invaded by aliens......

Not sure yet if it was a satellite or a weather balloon or aliens, but it was pretty cool either way! I noticed it because it was above my house....then it followed me to chili's and hovered there for a bit. It was funny watching all the people coming outside to look at it. I think it followed me cause it was mad I took pictures of it!

Girls night at Chili's with my sisters

Saturday afternoon we went to the pool for the last time, perfect timing because it was 90 degrees that day!

oh she's gonna miss this!

Well with the ending of summer comes winter and cute winter boots, I busted these out this weekend and treated them for the winter!

Sunday afternoon we kept Brielle's friend Maddie for a little while

Neither one of them were looking at me so I asked them to look up so I could get a picture and this is what they did haha!

Why'd you stop!

Little mommies haha!

They were both pretty wet after this game

Sunday night we surprised Teresa and Randy at their bowling league night.

Seriously mom! I'm trying to play and all you want to do is take pictures?!

Brielle you love your books!

Especially "a potty for me" which you call "ME" book, and the "dozer" books, dad hid those from you cause that's all you wanted us to read to you and considering they are only picture books and we have to make up the words, they get kinda tiring ha!

We just couldn't be prouder of you, last week you counted to 10 all by yourself & have been doing it ever since and you can say your ABC's A through G then you skip to Q through Z! What a cutie you are!

Happy Birthday Neely!

Guess who turned 5 today! So we got dressed up and made a trip to petsmart of course

Looking at the rats, I think she misses Rosco (one day I'll get myself another rat)

picking out her birthday present....hum what about this one......

or this one????

For sure this one! Just look at those ears.

From time to time, people tell me,
"lighten up, it's just a dog,"
or, "that's a lot of money for just a dog."
They don't understand the distance traveled,
the time spent, or the costs involved for
"just a dog."
Some of my proudest moments have come about with
"just a dog."
Many hours have passed and my only company was
"just a dog,"
but I did not once feel slighted.
Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by
"just a dog,"
and in those days of darkness,
the gentle touch of "just a dog"
gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day.
If you, too, think it's "just a dog,"
then you will probably understand phases
like "just a friend," "just a sunrise," or
"just a promise."
"Just a dog" brings into my life the very essence
of friendship, trust, and pure unbridled joy.
"Just a dog" brings out the compassion and
patience that make me a better person.
Because of "just a dog" I will rise early,
take long walks and look longingly to the future.
So for me and folks like me, it's not "just a dog"
but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams
of the future, the fond memories of the past,
and the pure joy of the moment.
"Just a dog" brings out what's good in me and
diverts my thoughts away from myself and the
worries of the day.
I hope that someday they can understand that
it's not "just a dog"
but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps
me from being "just a man."
So the next time you hear the phrase "just a dog."
just smile, because they "just don't understand."

Happy Birthday to my sweet little Eskie! I love you!

Fair 2011

I had to work Saturday morning so Landon and Juquita took Brielle to the parade, They said she got so into it and loved every minute!

Bouncing and clapping along with the band

It's that time of year again, Fair time!!! We decided to go Sunday night, the weather was perfect and there wasn't much of a crowd which meant no lines!!!

Of course the first stop was the petting zoo because it's my favorite, maybe Brielle's too! Every year I want to take some animal home sooo bad!

I could just SQUEEZE those sweet cheeks!

Open wide!

She did not like this ride, well she did until the roller coaster took off next to it and the loud noise scared her to death!

How taffy is made!

Oh my gosh these nuts are soooo good! They are my brother in law Colton's favorite so since he's in Iraq right now we got him some to enjoy when he gets back! Thank you Jesus for keeping him safe!

The old man that sells the nuts, I think he is nuts ha!

What is that you say......

Why a boiled egg of course! I didn't' cook dinner cause I knew we'd be eating at the fair but it wasn't until we were about to leave I realized that I couldn't just feed Brielle fair food all night, that kid's has hardly had any junk food her whole 2 years of life, it would have made her so sick I'm sure, so I brought a boiled egg and a banana to start her off.

This is what she ate last year

She's thinking "holy cow mom this is good, why do I eat this more often"
I deprive her of junk food now cause someday she'll know better when I'm trying to trick her!

Last year in Oklahoma for the fair

Oh blessing's I have received but not deserved.

Me and the love of my life last year

That's one happy man!

Everyone needs a safe room!

I've never seen this before but it's a huge coloring page for the kids, such a great idea!

Playing in the little kid's area, it was free and I'm sure it was the most germ infested place of all haha!

Brielle found some friends while she was there, she liked Emmerson's heart on her face

Brielle, Kline and Boston....all those boys were so cute!

One last stop at the petting zoo of course

One happy bouncing girl!

Here she is last year not even walking

Now you can't keep that girl still!
