Recently we got initiated a little farther into parenthood. A couple of weeks ago we had our first trip to the ER. Landon's mom came over to watch Brielle at our house (because we don't want her in the church nursery getting sick ha!) while we went to small group, this was around 7:00 and Brielle was just fine. We got home around 8:30 and her little voice sounded a little raspy, I said "uh oh, I hope your not getting sick" my famous last words! We put her to bed at 9 and at 10:30 she woke up crying and couldn't catch her breath, this scared her so she cried harder which made her breathing even worse! Landon and I stood there and looked at each other for a second with terror in our eyes, like what do we do! I said "grab her coat we need to go the Emergancy room!" So on the way I called 911 while trying to calm her down. She finally calmed down enough on the way to start taking little breaths. We got to the ER and they said it would be a 3hr wait, so we called our Dr and she said absolutely not especially if she wasn't breathing, so I told the nurse and they got us right in. She had croup and we ended up spending two nights there! She slept 9 hours the second night dispite all the poking and prodding they did all night long to check her vitals.
She had to sleep under this tent for two nights and we had to try to keep her under it as much as possible during the day to help her breath. I slept with her the first night and it was awful! My heart goes out to parents with really sick kids who spend weeks in the hospital, I don't know how they do it!
Aren't these the SADDEST pictures ever!
Trying to have some fun with daddy
Happy to be leaving
Finally home, but still not feeling well at all
This picture breaks my heart, You want so badly to make it all better but there is nothing you can do, except sing songs and lots of extra cuddle time!
Since we couldn't really go anywhere for about a week we decided to get some cleaning done around the house, Landon put box after box of baby clothes in the attic, and I deep cleaned the house in hopes of clearing out all this sickness.
Floorboards gross!
not too bad for not being done in 6 months
I think she was trying to tell us she was sick of blowing her nose! She got so used to it she even sat still and let me use the nose sucker, I think she got to where she kinda liked it cause I would catch her trying to do it herself sometimes haha, bless her heart!
We had a couple of nice days so we let B play outside a bit, the cool air was good for her to breath in anyway.
I also decide to make myself and early birthday treat...CAKE BALLS MMMMMM!

New years 2010
We brought in the new year with wonderful family and friends as usual...except this year we didn't host the party. We have hosted it 3 years in a row now..I think ha, even last year with a 2 month old I was determined to have a party, I wanted to feel normal again I guess. Well I didn't feel like cleaning up such a big mess this year! Here are some picture of our eventful night......
Some brother and sister in law love...
somebody's being a very sorry loser!
Every year we make our way out to the garage and toast to the new year and sip champagne... well this year since it was at Brandi's house she changed the rules up a little bit...she had about 12 bottles of chanpagne, she closed the door to the house and said nobody was leaving till we finished them all!!! AAAHH!
We couldn't stand to have that so my sister and landons sister who happened to be standing by the fridge, had the bright idea to start hiding the bottles in there as they came by when Cota wasn't looking...it was sooo funny when she found them! after that we all escaped!
It was a fun time but we went home right after midnight because Dillard's was having a huge sale the next day and I was definitely not gonna miss that...I even drug poor Landon out with me!
My new years resolution this year is to be more patient. I want to be slower to anger, I want to be a nicer person, I want to be a better mom, wife, sister, daughter, cousin and friend! I want to enjoy life more and all of God's goodness in it! I want to slow down and say no and focus on what's important! We only have one life to live so live it good! I am convinced that the years my children are young will be the sweetest years of my life and I just want to soak it all up!
Here are some of the books I'm gonna tackle this semester, hopefully they will help me be a better me! We never know when our time on earth will end and I want to leave a positive impression when I go!
Love and Respect is one we just finished this week in our small group....lots of good conversation starters in this one!

Christmas 2010
Warning...I got really behind on blogging during the holiday so here is all of December wrapped into one....Talk about picture overload!!!!!!!

It was such a fun night, I can't wait to do it again next year!
We also took mommy to see the play "it's a wondrful life". I boohooed my eyes out, it was a great play and it was so nice to spend time with my mom and sisters!
We took B to visit santa at the library because it was free!!! No $15 pictures here!!
sweet girl saw a little boys cookies sitting on the ground and she pointed to them and told us all about them but didn't once try to take one, I guess she knew they weren't hers
Is that him!!!???
Who is this guy
She did not like Santa at all, she just liked looking at him from afar haha!
Every year we do a gift exchange between all our dogs...between my sister, mom, aunt and me we have 9 dogs, by size 2 Chiawawas, yorkie, Daushound, Scottish Terrier,American Eskimo,American Bull Dog, Blue Border Collie and a Rottwieler! I thiink that covers every breed known to man haha.
Tillie trying to win the prize for most tricks!
here are the dogs treats
Neely opening her present from her secret Santa dog!
This year my group of girlfriends got together and had snacks, games and a pajama exchange! I love my sweet friends so much!
Then it was time for the Wylies annual ugly sweater party/adult beverage white elephant exchange...lots of laughs that night!
I love decorating for the Holidays. Even more now that I have a child, I plan on going all out for all the major ones! Every year we add to our outdoor lights...poor Landon, he's such a good sport about it!
Fall and the holiday season are slowly becoming my favorite time of the year....I still love summer but theres just something I'm loving about fall! I can't believe how quick time flies when your having fun, here are some pictures of my favorite girl from last year.

Gifts for the white elephant gift exchange
We celebrated Christmas morning with just the 3 of us....I totally surprised Landon with a PS3, I bought him some clothes and had him open those first and then I had him help Brielle open her big present...only it wasn't Brielle's, it was his!!! He had no idea... I picked up extra hours at work and got a holiday job and sold a Louis Vuitton backpack I bought at a garage sale, to get money so I could surprise him...It's hard when you don't work to pull these things off haha!
And here is B with her Christmas present...and yes I said Christmas present...We try to be frugal where we can and a 1 year old doesn't know the difference yet between 1 toy and 20. Even when she does we don't plan on making Christmas all about presents. Growing up my sisters and I all got about 4 presents each, we were happy kids and definalty not deprived. Landon and I limit our gifts as well (he must have been really good this year ha) oh and I got Ugg boots! yay! we have everything we need and feel so abundantly blessed!
Christmas #3 was a Grandma Dorothys house. All her kids and us grandkids got together and bought her a flat screen TV that she has wanted for years. She was sooo surprised and cried. It was one of the best moments I had ever experienced watching her reaction!
Gannpa fanning B with a box, just look at their faces...cracks me up!
Christmas now....
Christmas then.....
We thought we could order pizza but forgot everything was closed on Christmas Eve, so next best thing...DENNYS haha. It was the longest wait and B was sooo hungry I let her have a sucker that was in my purse, I was desperate!
Waiting patiently...
Starting to get angry..
Excited about her very own kitchen from Gannpa and Gigi!
Last but not least we celebrated Christmas #4 at Grams and Pops house on New Years Eve
Dancing with her uncle Trent
Brielle loves, loves, loves to play in boxes, she will somehow make herself fit in the littles ones too ha!
Every Christmas Grammy does a scavenger hunt for all us kids (kids ha). She hides these clues all around the house and that lead us to the presents, we love it and wil be soooo sad when we aren't considered the kids anymore!
Silly Kaytie, always doing something funny
Is it behind the globe says Trent?
Found them!!!!!! Hurray!
All the Cousins, and boy do I love them, they make getting together with family just that much more fun!
